Swoon Worthy

Cheers to the weekend my friends!  Can you even believe that it is almost August?  Why does the summer always have to fly by so quickly???

This past week was a hot one, and while I tried my best to avoid the humidity, I also rang in my 34th birthday! 34... What?  Didn't I just graduate from high school?

Anyhow, the day was mostly uneventful, but we did head to the racetrack to watch some horse racing, and my husband and kids gifted me with a pretty generous gift card to a local winery, so bottoms up I guess!

I took some time to peruse the internet while I sipped on my vino this week, and here's what I'm swooning over at the moment...

1.  One of my favorite writers finally released her latest book, and you better believe that's what I've got on my agenda for this weekend.

2.  My sweet friend Astleigh just released her new line of fall candles, and not only are they beautiful, but the scents sound amazing too!  I already ordered mine!

3.  If you don't already know by now, I can't get enough of s'mores, so naturally I am dying to try this recipe!

4.  I ordered this amazing (nursing friendly) wrap hoodie from the Nsale, after another blogger recommended it, and I am obsessed!  It's selling out fast, so nab one while you can!

5.  Pink lemonade is one of my most favorite drinks ever, but this version might just make it even better!

6.  Swing dresses are totally my love language this season.

7.  Have you guys seen the new Cat & Jack line at Target?  This skirt and this tulle cape are AH-mazing! I can't wait until the baby stuff drops on August 7th.

8.  I just adore a good monogrammed mug!

9.  My love for nautical things just took the form of the cutest little outfit ever!

10.  I need this salad in my life as soon as possible!

So there was no Swoon Worthy post last week. We escaped, totally last minute, to the beach, and it left me little time to plan, or to get it together.

I'm back this week though, with a bunch of good stuff... because you know I couldn't leave you all hanging two weeks in a row.

Here's what I'm swooning over at the moment...

1.  This Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner.  Is there anything cooler than custom made hair products, designed exclusively for your locks, with your name on the bottle?

2.  You guys know that I LOVE me some iced coffee, but cold brew pops??? Sign me up!

3.  Currently obsessed with my diaper bag clutch from Logan and Lenora... keep your eye out for a giveaway.

4.  I love a good pair of studs... especially when they're on sale.

5.  In case you missed it, grilled guacamole is where it's at.

6.  I can't get enough of everything tassels!

7.  You can't go wrong with a good basic T.  I want to buy this style in every color.

8.  Itty bitty bubble vests will get me every time!

9.  I need this cocktail in my life!

10.  One of my favorite skincare lines at a great price... while it lasts!

Well, for a week that was supposed to be short and sweet, it sure turned out to be crazy and chaotic... not just in my own little bubble, but in the real world too.

I contemplated taking the week off from writing a "Swoon Worthy" post... it seemed a little silly to be writing about trvial material things with all that has happened in our country over the last few days, but the more I thought about it, I decided that I would indeed write this post.

"Swoon Worthy" posts are fun for me to write, I enjoy them, and many of you have written me to tell me that you look forward to them and enjoy them too... so even though they may be about maxi dresses and dessert recipes, among other random things, if these posts bring even a bit of joy to any of you, then I felt that it was my duty to "keep on keepin' on", and write one this Saturday, because if there's one thing we all need right now, it's to spread a little happiness.

Above and beyond this, I want to urge you all to spread some joy this weekend.  No matter how you choose to do it... even if it's something as small as paying someone a compliment, or purchasing someone's coffee, go out and bring a little happiness into someone else's day!

Okay, now onto the fun stuff!  Here's what I'm swooning over this week...

1.  Yes, just yes, to these frozen treats!

2.  If you know me at all, you know that coffee rules my world, which is why I love this T!

3.  Speaking of coffee... after trying the infamous Starbucks "Pink Drink", and instantly becoming obsessed, I'm totally dying to try every drink in the rainbow!

4.  These bathing suits are a current obsession... I love the high waisted bottoms and the swing top styles!

5.  If a salad has bacon and avocado in it, I'm totally in!

6.  This top... swooning so hard!

7.  With hair like mine and Ella's, a good brush is key.... this one is a current favorite!

8.  Teeny tiny boat shoes will always make me swoon.

9. I adore a good set of dainty stacking rings.

10.  And lastly, this... because it just seems fitting at the moment.

Summer Dresses | For Little Ladies

Despite the fact that I'm becoming a bit of a boy mom, now that I have 2 little guys around the house, I still go crazy over little girl's styles, dresses in particular.

I have so much fun dressing Ella up, and more often than not, I find myself wishing that her stuff came in my size, because the stuff that is in stores is just that cute.  Mini maxis and halter styles have me swooning, and naturally, anything with a pom pom trim is a must have.

There are so many adorable summer dresses out there right now, that can be found at great (and on sale) prices, that I decided to do a little round up of some of our favorites.

We kicked off this Fourth of July Weekend with some good old fashioned Strawberry picking!  I have been dying to go, and even though we waited until almost the last possible minute, we still made out like bandits!

Max took the reigns and managed carrying the big box for us, while Ella sampled the merchandise and ate her weight in berries.  Theo, as always, snoozed through the whole adventure in the Solly.

Our plans for the rest of the weekend?  To eat, swim, play, and eat some more!

10.  I can only dream that my handwriting will ever be as good as @chalkfulloflove so her book is high on my current wishlist.

It was a totally crazy week around here with the kids, and this weekend is mine and Mike's anniversary weekend... That's right, we're celebrating 6 (crazy fast) years of marriage tomorrow!

So, I'm keeping things short and sweet, so that we can head to the lake today to beat the heat!

Here's what I'm swooning over at the moment...

1.  No link here, I just had to share my new warm weather beverage obsession with you (pictured above).  I can't get enough of sparkling water, infused with watermelon and fresh mint!

2.  Speaking of summer drinks, I like to enjoy them outside on the deck, which is why I love these "glasses" I picked up a few weeks ago!

3.  I'm still working on my summer glow, so I'll be using this stuff on my legs in the meantime!

Swimwear for Moms

Gone are the days of teeny weenie bikinis...

Since I'm slowly learning to embrace my postpartum "mom bod" this summer, I went on the hunt for bathing suits that were suitable for a nursing mom of three, who just had a baby 10 weeks ago... "mom suits".

Thankfully, there are a ton of stylish options available at the moment that maintain some sense of modesty, while still allowing me to feel like I haven't completely lost my groove.

Beach trips are no longer for lounging and sunbathing.  These days, I need something that I can chase my kids around in, and build sandcastles while wearing.

I decided to compile a list of some of my favorites.  These suits come in various prints, price ranges, styles, and colors.

I'm currently loving both solid and floral prints, ruching, high-waisted bottoms and plunging necklines (that are nursing friendly).

When I asked my husband if he would like to do anything special for Father's Day weekend, he simply replied with, "I want to be near salt water, and I want to watch the U.S. Open!"

Watching golf has zero appeal to me, but you don't have to twist my arm to get me to the beach... So that's where we are headed at this very moment.

We're only going to be spending one night away, yet it never ceases to amaze me, how much stuff is required when taking three kids to the beach.

So, even though I've been running around like crazy trying to get packed and organized for this last minute road trip, I still wanted to share with you guys the list of things that I'm currently loving/obsessing over/needing/wanting to try.

Here's what I'm swooning over at the moment...

1.  I can't get enough of strawberries and basil together, so when I came across this recipe, I instantly added it my must-try list.

2.  I picked up a few new books for our trip to the beach (not that I'll actually get to read on the beach).  This book made its way into my bag, and this one did too!

3.  If something has pom poms or tassels on it, you can pretty much bet that I'm swooning over it!

4.  Meet my latest drug store make up obsession.

5.  Rosé + sangria = my new favorite summer drink!

6.  Tunics are always a summer staple for me, and this one is perfection!

7.  Swooning over all of the things from this shop.  So good.

8.  I got a little too excited when I saw that someone decided to turn my favorite childhood cereal into an amazing dessert.

9.  A totally genius idea... I'm in love with the bracelets from this shop.

10.  Am I the only one who just dies when they take adult-like things and make the most adorable mini version of them?  These loafers are a prime example!

Another week has blown by in a blur, and it here it is Saturday morning again.

 If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen that I had the good fortune of taking all three of my kids to Theo's two month check up yesterday morning.  My husband ended up having a meeting, so I decided that I was feeling brave and could get all three of them out of the house before 9:00 AM and to the appointment without any major issues.

The good news is, there weren't any major issues and that Theo is healthy and growing.  The bad news is, our pediatrician likely never wants to see us again.  Kidding of course, but it was a bit chaotic (shocker, I know).

So... as always, I am happy for the weekend and to have Mike home for a few days to help with the child wrangling.

We have big plans to fire up our new smoker today, and smoke some sort of meat.  Turkey, pork, brisket, I'm not sure what yet, but either way, I'm sure it will be delightful.

Okay, enough talk about smoked meat, here are all of the things that I am currently swooning over...

3.  I finally tried the infamous "pink drink" that everyone was talking about, and for me, it was totally worth the hype.

5.  Since I can't get to the city for the real thing, the box mix version will have to do. I came across these at Target, and they are amazing!

6.  This dress... Totally swoon worthy!

7.  I've become totally pro baby wearing ever since Theo arrived... Adding this gorgeous sling to my wish list!

8.  Summer sun is the perfect excuse for a new pair of sunnies!

9.  If I could cook every meal on the grill this time of year, I totally would. These kabobs are right up my ally.

10.  Someday I'm going to learn the fine art of contouring... This kit might help me on my way.

Happy Saturday you guys!  Is it just me, or do the months seem to be flying by?  How on earth are we already half way through 2016???

Even though the time is passing a little faster then I'd prefer, I'm pretty pumped that it's June and it finally feels like summer.

This weekend we're planning on heading to the Country Living Magazine fair, which I am super excited about.  Fingers crossed that my kids behave and that we find some great stuff.

I have to confess, I get even more excited about weekends lately than I probably should.

This past week was a bit of a circus around here, much like the last few weeks. There were a few days where I actually felt like I had everything under control, and there were a few where I thought I was going to completely lose my mind.

So yeah, there's something about it being the weekend that just makes it seem okay to drink a little bit more coffee (and a little bit more wine), to stay in our pajamas a little while longer, and to say peace out to any form of routine!

I am however, sticking to the routine of sharing with you, all of things I've been crushing on this past week... So let's get down to it!

1.  Is there anything that says "welcome summer" more than some fun festive pineapples? I think not!

2.  Speaking of pineapple, how refreshing does this spin on one of my favorite drinks sound?

3.  We're big fans of Flora around here, so it's no surprise that we have to have this.

4.  Swooning hard over these sandals, especially at this price.

5.  This time of year I get the urge to cook everything on the grill, so this salad sounds like it fits the bill.

6.  Iong live peplum style tops!

7.  Out of all of the innovative and amazing inventions out there for babies, this one is my current favorite for sure!

8.  I'm addicted to infused waters right now. Strawberry and basil is my favorite combo at the moment, but all of these concoctions sound super refreshing.

9.  Once a Maine girl, always a Maine girl! Lobster prints will forever have my heart, especially when they come in the form of itty bitty swimsuits!

Ah, it's finally the weekend again.  This past week we were blessed with some beautiful weather and it felt so nice to get outside and enjoy it... We went on long walks, played in the yard, and had dinner and popsicles on the back deck.  It was pure Heaven I tell you.

As is typical here in the Northeast in the spring time, the weather fluctuates, and this weekend is going to be a bit cooler, but I just know those sunny warm days will be here to stay before we know it.

Things are still a little hectic around here, yet slowly but surely I'm beginning to get a handle on everything, even if that means that some days I just have to throw in the towel in regards to plans, and go with the flow instead.

There are so many things that I want to blog about at the moment, but my schedule just hasn't allowed for it, so I'm keeping a running list, and hope to start tackling some of these posts as it becomes possible for me to do so.

Thankfully my kids allowed me a short amount of time in front of the computer this week, and I was able to put together this Swoon Worthy post!  So, these are the things that I'm crushing on lately...

1.  You might think I was still pregnant if I told you how much I love pickles.  I stumbled across these  super convenient/healthy snack packs recently at Target, and I seriously can't get enough.

2.  Speaking of getting outside to play, our latest obsession is this form of sidewalk chalk.

3.  A friend of mine recently turned me on to this hair product line, and I'm so glad she did, because this stuff is my favorite!

4.  Super comfy maxi dresses will always be a warm weather staple in my closet... when I found this one, I had to have it!

5.  Now that gardening season is upon us, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to throw it back to one of my favorite DIY projects!

6.  My love affair with amazing small businesses that handcraft the most adorable items for babes continues... this boutique is one of our new favorites!

7.  I'm totally intrigued by this whole smoothie bowl fad.  I think I might have to try one this weekend!

8.  I'm pretty sure I've shared about these shoes before, but they are seriously my favorite for kids in the summertime.  Ella just got her first pair, and Max wears his religiously.

9.  Swooning over this pretty flowy tank (that also happens to be nursing friendly!).

10.  This blogger shares some of the most amazing recipes, but this one for iced chocolate mochas left me drooling for sure!

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all of my mama friends, and happy weekend in general to the rest of you.

This year, above all, I made sure to make all of my requests heard... you know, mimosas/breakfast in bed, perhaps a nap at some point.  What can I say, I'm a little high maintenance. In all seriousness though, I'm just looking forward to some quality family time with my babies to celebrate the holiday, and it's always nice when daddy is home, because having an extra set of hands to help manage the chaos sounds better to me then winning the lottery right about now.

Anyhow, whatever your plans are for the weekend, I hope it's a good one.

1.  Speaking of mimosas... these ones sound delicious.

2.  I treated myself to some cute non-maternity clothes for spring recently, and this gorgeous top is one of my favorite new things.

3.  We celebrated Cinco de Mayo the other night, with these amazing fajitas... and some margaritas of course!

4.  You guys, these candles remind me of something you'd see at Anthropologie. They smell amazing, and for the price you can stock up on every yummy scent.

5.  I'm pretty much in love with anything that has a tassel on it these days, these sandals included.

6.  Swooning over teeny tiny baby boy clothes as of late... this mini chambray outfit is just too cute!

8.  I'm totally in love with this sweater for spring/summer.

9.  Dreaming of warm weather and dinner al fresco... these acrylic goblets are perfect for outdoor dining!

Another weekend is here, and at this point, for me, I feel like it's just a little game of crossing yet another couple of days off of the calendar.  My due date is less than three weeks away now, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready to be D-O-N-E... but I'm sure no one wants to listen to my incessant complaints about being HUGELY pregnant at this point, so on to much lighter and happier things!
