This hat requires only basic crochet stitches, and works up fairly quickly. It makes for a great baby shower gift, or if you're anything like me, you'll want to make it in about 100 different colors for your own little one.
I'm sharing the pattern in size 0-3 months. If you don't crochet, or are looking for it in other sizes, please check out my Etsy shop, littlepeachblossoms.etsy.com.

Love the pattern! What is your gauge?
ReplyDeleteThank you Dara! For gauge, I got 4 hdc= 1 inch. The finished hat measures approximately 5 inches in height, and about 13-14 inches in circumference. If you wanted it to be slightly bigger, you could always try a size I hook!
DeleteThanks, that is super helpful since I don't have a newborn around right now! Also, I noticed that if rows 6-7 are repeated four times, there should be a total of 15 rounds, not 13.
DeleteI have made some edits, I think the way I wrote it was a little confusing. Hopefully it's correct now, however, I have to admit, chasing a toddler around he having a newborn have made my brain a little foggy.
DeleteI have a question. :) If you want to make an adult size what do you do?
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley,
DeleteI haven't had time to work out an adult pattern for this hat style, but I found this link on Pinterest:

Hope it helps!

ReplyDeleteHI Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI am making a baby turban hat and I just want to be sure about round 6.
Do you mean to work in the front loops only?
This is such a cute pattern! Thanks!
Lee Ann, I am so sorry if I left you hanging. yes, front loops only. I will edit now. Hope it works out ok for you!
DeleteI tried round 6 through both loops but decided to do the front loop instead, after I found out that it looked better overall. Thanks for getting back to me and confirming it with me. This is such a cute pattern! Thank you again! :)
DeleteI am loving this pattern thank you 😃
