Our Weekend

This weekend was one of those perfect fall weekends you dream about all year. Cool enough at night to build a fire and cozy up in front of it, and warm enough during the day to wear a light sweater and a puffy vest.

We've been having a fire almost every night, so there was lots of that this weekend, as well as loads of time spent outside breathing in the fresh fall air, playing, checking out some farm animals, and picking out pumpkins.

It seems we have a thumb sucker on our hands. Snuggling by the fire had Ella down for the count in no time at all.

Max had been obsessed with his toy cars lately. He likes to line the up all in a row like a train, and it really bothers him if you mess with his arrangement. Sometimes Ella gets lucky enough to get her hands on a car, and she always looks super pleased with herself when she does.

We went to a local farm to pick up some pumpkins and to put in an order for our Thanksgiving turkey. Max, just like his dad, couldn't get enough of the farm animals. He was also pretty stoked to pick out a little pumpkin for himself and his sister.

We also had some firsts this weekend... Kind of. Ella has been eating oatmeal for awhile now, and she did have a bite of bananas a few weeks ago, but this weekend she tried sweet potatoes for the first time and ate almost the whole bowl! Despite the look on her face in this picture, she absolutely loved it!

Aside from all of that, I did manage to work on a few projects, which I promise to share as soon as I can get it together and post about them.

Here's to hoping the week ahead is a good one!
